My God, it has been sooo long since have posted or even read livejournal.
Well, tomorrow is saturday, well, it is called saturday, but it's not a real saturday. You see, a real saturday involves sleeeping as late as I please, and also no classes, but this isn't a real saturday. I also know that there will be a series of fake saturdays, and I desperately wait for them to be over with.
I think this year has gone well. Well, as in, not extremely shitty. No, not really, but it has been an ok year and I have faith that it will continue to be.
Let me say that I think my classes are going well. I have 5 (and a half?) classes (including band). I like the majority of my teachers, but not all. The band director is ok, but I was kind of upset when after meeting me the 2nd question he asked me was where I go to church. (I'll explain this in quotes. Well, sort of quotes, except without the quotes)
Him: So where are you from?
Me: Ashville
(He thinks that I said Ashland)
Him: So where do you go to church?
Me: (Not knowing what to say, along with keeping in mind that I AM in the Bible Belt) I go to the First Baptist Church. (not really true)
Him: Really, is (so-and-so) your youth minister?
Me: Ummm, no.
Him: Oh, did you say Ashville?
Me: Yes
Him: Oh, I thought you said Ashland.
I suppose I lucked out on that, because imagine if we were talking about the same town and then he asked the minister person if he knows me, and he would probably be like, "No, I've never even heard of him."
The whole thing about religion is just so tedious. I lied about going to church because I assume that if someone meets me and where I go to church is the 2nd question he asks me, then I probably do not want that person to know that I don't go to a church of any kind.
But let me clear up that I do not dislike my band director because he might be religious. He seems like a very nice guy, it's just that my personal religion is not something that I usually like to talk about right after meeting someone.
But anyway, things are going well this year, and I hope and believe that they will continue in the same way.
I'm gonna go and eat dinner now.
