Your Results:
The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa.

Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking.

How did the Belief-O-Matic do?
Regarding the entry earlier today....

I have been doing a lot of thinking, about my future, and about the present, and that is why I have decided that I'm leaving ASMS next week. Simply put, I don't think I can take much more of this place. I believe that if in the end it will all be the same (I'm gonna do AmeriCorps for a year or two, then go to college), then why should I voluntarily spend time in a place where I'm miserable and depressed, if in the end it'll all be the same? I should also mention that leaving ASMS was probably inevitable, seeing as how my grades are hideously upsetting. It's just that I'm leaving sort of preemptively because I am so sick of this place.

ASMS had been great for a large bulk of the 2 and a half years that I was here, however, I never did truly care for the academics here, which is why I have been so lazy in my time here.

Goodbye to all my wonderful friends, who are what has made ASMS bearable for 2 and a half years.

I desperately need a break.

Love,

Hank

My God, it has been sooo long since have posted or even read livejournal.

Well, tomorrow is saturday, well, it is called saturday, but it's not a real saturday. You see, a real saturday involves sleeeping as late as I please, and also no classes, but this isn't a real saturday. I also know that there will be a series of fake saturdays, and I desperately wait for them to be over with.

I think this year has gone well. Well, as in, not extremely shitty. No, not really, but it has been an ok year and I have faith that it will continue to be.

Let me say that I think my classes are going well. I have 5 (and a half?) classes (including band). I like the majority of my teachers, but not all. The band director is ok, but I was kind of upset when after meeting me the 2nd question he asked me was where I go to church. (I'll explain this in quotes. Well, sort of quotes, except without the quotes)

Him: So where are you from?
Me: Ashville
(He thinks that I said Ashland)
Him: So where do you go to church?
Me: (Not knowing what to say, along with keeping in mind that I AM in the Bible Belt) I go to the First Baptist Church. (not really true)
Him: Really, is (so-and-so) your youth minister?
Me: Ummm, no.
Him: Oh, did you say Ashville?
Me: Yes
Him: Oh, I thought you said Ashland.

I suppose I lucked out on that, because imagine if we were talking about the same town and then he asked the minister person if he knows me, and he would probably be like, "No, I've never even heard of him."

The whole thing about religion is just so tedious. I lied about going to church because I assume that if someone meets me and where I go to church is the 2nd question he asks me, then I probably do not want that person to know that I don't go to a church of any kind.

But let me clear up that I do not dislike my band director because he might be religious. He seems like a very nice guy, it's just that my personal religion is not something that I usually like to talk about right after meeting someone.

But anyway, things are going well this year, and I hope and believe that they will continue in the same way.

I'm gonna go and eat dinner now.

Well, it's two weeks from this point in time that I will probably be going to bed - in my dorm.

"Gosh," I've thought, about how summer is pretty much over with, and how it seems so soon, which leads me to the conclusion that I have had a majority unproductive summer; I hope I don't do this so much in the summers to come.

I must say that I am looking forward to going back to ASMS. I am so happy that I will be able to both be more productive and have more of a social life.

BTW: Does anyone who gets HBO ever watch Da Ali G Show? It is so hilarious.

Oh yeah, and this summer I have begun to watch South Park more often than at school, and I have now reaffirmed my love for South Park. I can't see how anyone could not like it.

Can't sleep

Well, it's close to 3AM and I am not even the least bit sleepy. Before I started writing this I was lying in bed, trying to sleep, and I heard a sound coming from the bathroom. It was my sister in the shower, at 2:30 in the morning! I still keep thinking, "What the fuck!"

As a way to get to sleep, I figured I would start reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. But it was weird, I simply did not want to read. It was like I was having reader's block, kind of like the way that writers have writer's block, I suppose. I don't think that's what this is called(if it is even called anything), but I'm gonna have to call it that.

Fahrenheit 9/11

Well, I saw Fahrenhiet 9/11, and because of it I did quite a lot of crying. It was very sad.

But because of all that this said about President Bush, I begin to feel more certain than I ever have before about the prospect that he WILL NOT be "re"-elected. Unless, however, he steals the election again, by disenfranchising 1000's of African-American voters again. (note: In the state of Florida, like most states, you would assume that African-Americans would vote Democratic.)

Well, I think that if he does steal the election again, it will be even harder to hold off controversy this time, because I think that there will be an even wider margin by which Kerry will win than was with Gore.

Today I went over to an area where I don't go very often: Anniston. I was dropping my sister off at a friend's house who lives in Oxford, and then I went to the Quintard Mall and then Books-a-Million. It was so weird: I ran into Kitty at the mall. That was the 2nd time I ran into her within 2 weeks. (I saw her 2 saturdays ago at Hoover High School where we were taking the ACT.) It was even more strange that that was the first time I had ever even been to the Quintard Mall.

I then went to Books-a-Million and bought a total of 4 magazines(I have not bought magazines in a long time.) I bought 2 gay-oriented magazines, People(with a lot of stuff about Orlando Bloom in it) and The American Prospect. In the issue of The American Prospect, there is a long article about House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. It talks about how she is such a strong Democrat, and how she has been a leading opponent to Bush's policies, such as voting against the war with Iraq. According to the article, the Democratic Party is more united today than any other time since 1960. The article says she is making it likely for the Democrats win back the majority of the House of Reps, and Democrats have not had a majority in the House since 1994.

Last night I had a number of weird dreams. One weird dream of mine was that it was next friday, and I was going to see Fahrenheit 9/11(I know, I'm obviously already obsessed with a movie I have never even seen, and it's pathetic, I know that!), and it was just strange because there were a lot of ASMS people there. I know that wasn't much of a dream, but I still just felt like sharing it with you.

I'm gonna read some and then I'm gonna turn in.

On Saturday I went to take the ACT. I took it at Gadsden High School instead of Gadsden State CC, as a means to lessen the possibility of seeing people from my old school. I think I did the right thing, because I only saw three, and only had to talk to one(Which I was OK with). I think I did ok on the english and math, then not as well on the reading and science reasoning. But anyway, I'll just wait and see how it works out.

On Monday I went to see my endocrinologist. I probably waited for a total of 1.5 hours, and the amount of time I spent with my doctor or a nurse was about 10 minutes. That sucks, but at least I don't have to go back till December.

I found out some information about Fahrenheit 9/11: It's only gonna be playing in 2 places in all of Alabama! That means I'll have to drive over an hour, but hey, it could be further. (http://www.fahrenheit911.com)

I also found out something. Did y'all know that the anniversary of Juneteenth is this Saturday? There are also events to commemerate this turning point in history. However, the only one in Alabama that's a reasonable distance from me seems like it'
s gonna completely suck. But I'm gonna go to it as soon as it starts, and I'll simply leave if it sucks, and I'm gonna have completely wasted my Saturday. If you are interested in this, go to this website: juneteenth.com

I am ready to do something fun and/or exciting. I just hope it happens sometime soon.

Hi. I dunno if I have really quick gay-dar or just pure luck, but yesterday I was watching Road Rules(I must really say it's a lame show, but Anna wanted to watch it and there was nothing else on anyway), and it was at the beginning of the season and all the people were introducing themselves and this guy introduced himself, and I kept thinking "hmm, he might be gay," and within seconds of that thought I heard him say "I came out of the closet when I was 14." I am really proud of this seeing as how it is my first time to really use gay-dar and find out if I was right or wrong.

Yesterday when I was driving there was a turtle crossing the road, and I swear, that turtle was running, and I have never seen a turtle move so fast! And luckily, I swirved and didn't run over it! :)

Does anyone like my new icon? I seriously think Barry Watson is one of the hottest guys on earth. Would anyone else care to speak up about that?

So I got my grades yesterday. Yeah, nothing more to say about that.

I am taking the ACT on saturday. I am currently using a study-book for it. This is the first time I have ever used any type of study guide for the ACT, so hopefully this will be the first time that I make a score on the ACT that I would want any college to see.

My roommate for next year and best friend is leaving ASMS. I'm gonna miss him so much. Which means that I'll have to find another roommate for next year. If I can't find a returning to room with, then I'll have to room with an incoming. Does anyone know of a returning who didn't already pick a roommate? It would be of great help to me.

I went to the Y today. I am actually gonna start going on a regular basis this summer, unlike last summer.

I think I'm gonna go read now and then I'll go to bed.

Ben, I really will miss you as a roommate. I thought you were the perfect roommate. But even if we can't be roommates we can still always be best friends, nothing's gonna change that.

my day

Hello. Today was pretty fun, I suppose. My mom drove me to Hoover this morning to take the SAT. She didn't trust me to drive her car all the way to Hoover; somehow that was the only available car this morning. Yet again, like so many other times, I feel pretty confident about the math sections, but not so much the verbal sections. But anyway, if I really need to, I can take the SAT again.

I went and saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban tonight. It was a wonderful movie. But, Sirius did not look like I imagined he would. I thought he would be better-looking than he actually was. But anyway, it was still a kick-ass movie and everyone needs to see it.

Sorry about this, but I want to. Please do not read this if it might offend you.
I dunno if you all might have heard, but Ronald Reagan passed away today. I do find this very sad. And I know that in the future there will be a lot of Reagan stuff talking about what a great President he was, but don't expect me to be going that far, because Reagan was not a good President in my opinion. He talked about small government, and a sound economy, but neither was really acheived in his tenure. The national debt grew at a drastic rate, and the poor and lower class were not included in his plans for economic prosperity. But still, I feel for Nancy Reagan who has just lost her husband. I know how she must feel. For all of his relatives and close friends, I know they all must be very sad to lose someone.

I feel more like I am finally at home, seeing as how I now have my computer at home. We had to leave it at school and I got it yesterday at graduation. Congratulations seniors for surviving ASMS and graduating! I thought the student speakers' speeches were terrific, except that I think Anthony should have read his first then Alex read his, seeing as how Anthony's was so sad. (Seniors): I really will miss you all. Good luck on life!

On saturday I have to take the SAT in HOOVER!, which is almost an hour and a half away from me! So I suppose I have to leave at 6:30, and get up even earlier.

I really wish I could go see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban tomorrow, but I know it'll be so crowded. I hope maybe I can go see a matinee either on saturday or sunday.

Every day that I've been home has been a day of nothingness(AKA watching TV or surfing the internet).

I went to my grandparents' house the other day, and my grandmother gave us these rotten potatoes, and they like had liquid on them, and it spilled in the car, and it stank up the damn car! The smell is gone now, but it was persistent for a few days.

I guess I'm gonna go now and watch the Golden Girls. Have a good summer everyone. BYE.

Tomorrow my sister, my mom, and I are going to her graduation. I am so excited, because we are staying at the Adam's Mark! I have never stayed there before, but it is obviously nice.

My summer has been started out by reading the 4th Harry Potter book, which, on so many earlier occasions, I have started reading but never got very far because it was during the school year. I am also very excited that the movie for the 3rd book is coming out on friday. I will see it ASAP.

I visited my grandparents today. I wouldn't say that went so well. But anyway, that's all for now.

Well, I finished 3 of my five exams for the last term of my junior year at asms. I had physics, which I can't really go one way or another on, but I feel a lot like I at least passed. Fair enough. I also had pop culture and statistics, which I think I did pretty good on(as in at least a B). I have chemistry and German left(and yes, Emily, you suck!, for not having to take the final(J/K)).

It really pisses me off how you'd think that the power would rarely go off if you live within a city like Mobile, but if you, like me, live in a community of irresponsibility, the power can go off multiple times a day. I am very upset about the power going off today, because it has made the sound on my computer have soo much damn static. And I know it is my sound from my computer and not my speakers, because I plugged a pair of headphones directly into my computer and it still has static. Maybe my dad can help fix this problem when I get home. I sure hope so.

I must say that I am thrilled to be getting the hell out of this place for the summer. I need some time to not have to put up with bullshit, and I think 2 and 1/2 months will be long enough.

There is not a possibilty for me to have job this summer, because both of my sisters have jobs, and therefore transportation will be a bigger problem, and then my parents also just plain do not want me to have a job. But that's fine, I like watching TV.

I really hope there are some people from ASMS who will want to meet up and do things this summer. As much as I do hate this place, I do not hate(all of) the people here. If anyone of you reading this happens to live somewhere near B'ham or Gadsden or St. Clair County, I would want to meet up with you sometime this summer. That would be cool.

It's not like I have some big crowd of friends from my old school that I am dying to see; In fact, it's quite the opposite.

I am probably gonna lie down for a little while, then I'll do some studying. Bye.

Finally my contacts came today, even though they originally were supposed to come last friday. I must admit it's really nice having 2 contacts in, instead of only one.

There is simply no way to circumvent this theory: Dr. Wheeler is an asshole. The teacher evaluation form that I fill out for him will not be a good one.

Since tomorrow is the last day of class, there is not much homework at all for me to do.

At 6 I was at the heritage panel meeting. I really enjoyed this meeting.

Tomorrow is awards day. Will I get anything? Most likely not, unless some bizarre miracle comes my way.

Today has been OK. This afternoon I am going to Wal-Mart to get some batteries(for my pump). I swear, making sure I have plenty of batteries for my pump is the most annoying thing. I never seem to have them when I need them.

Tomorrow I have a German test.

Thursday I have a physics test.

Hopefully I can go to bed early tonight(or at least fall asleep sometime before 3:30)

Well, Massachusetts should be proud of itself. It has become the first state to legally grant marriage lisences to same-sex couples. We are the 4th country in the world, after Canada, the Netherlands, and Belgium, to have completely equal marriage rights anywhere in the country for homosexuals. Thank you, Massachusetts, for doing the right thing.

Well, has anyone seen the sacred institution of marriage fail yet? Didn't think so, but you have seen 1000's of loving and caring couples really happy.

It's a video of Bush's 2002 State of the Union address and the words are changed. It's hilarious.
